LOOK Stories

Little stories told through movement, light, and change.

Sometimes a story doesn't need many words.

Sometimes it begins with a falling leaf, a flower gathering its petals, or a little light moving through the dark.

LOOK Stories are short visual experiences built around simple events that unfold over time.

They're designed to give learners something clear to notice, movement to follow, and time to discover what happens next.

And they're made to be enjoyed together.

A little story can begin with a single event.

LOOK Stories began with the idea that storytelling could start somewhere simpler.

For learners who find busy illustrations, complicated scenes, or rapidly changing pictures difficult to follow, even a short visual story can be challenging.

LOOK Stories focus on one visual event at a time.

Petals gather and drift apart. Rain creates ripples. Leaves fall and accumulate. Fireflies appear in the darkness.

Each experience develops through movement and change, giving learners opportunities to notice what is happening, follow the event, and anticipate what might come next.

The goal isn't necessarily to understand a complicated plot.

Sometimes watching a flower form, seeing it burst apart, and waiting for it to happen again is a story worth sharing.

"Something happens. We watch. We wonder what comes next."

What makes LOOK Stories different?

One clear visual event

Each story focuses on a recognizable movement, change, or unfolding event rather than a crowded sequence of unrelated images.

Controlled visual complexity

Dark backgrounds and carefully presented visual elements help keep the main event noticeable.

Adjustable Color & Visibility

Where supported by the story settings, adults can adjust color and visual presentation to help important elements stand out — and explore what works best for an individual learner.

Purposeful, predictable movement

Movement is part of the story itself. Objects gather, separate, fall, drift, pulse, and change over time.

Time to watch

The experiences allow opportunities to orient, follow, and anticipate events without requiring rapid responses.

Shared enjoyment

The stories create moments to watch, wonder, respond, and enjoy together.
